Pretty girly bows

I bought these pretty little nail art bows from ebay a while back & totally forgot about them...so imagine my surprise as I was cleaning my apartment & came across these lil cuties! :)

I wanted to do something really feminine yet simple so as not to take away from the bows.
I started with a simple pretty pastel pink color by Essie called "French Affair."
I applied two coats of that color & once dried I used a lil bit of nail glue.
The nail glue I used was from Sally's Beauty supply, i think it was around $3.99 & it has a great lil brush that makes the glue really easy to apply. I applied some of that to my ring finger & then placed one of the lil bows on top, held it down a little bit & waited a few minutes for it to dry.
I finished it off with top coat on rest of nails, & above is the finished product.
I honestly thought the bow would come off by the morning, but it was still on there as i went throughout my day. But i've been really careful to try to keep them on.
Hope you guys enjoyed my pretty, girly bow nails of the day.

Black, Coral & Gold

I like to go from one end of the color spectrum to the other......so while one day I'm all about white nails, the next I want to create something with dark color. In this instance I used black & added a few accent colors to make it a lil more summertime.
I started with a basic black nail polish, the one above is from Wet N Wild, it's called "Black Crème", I like it cause its a deep black, as opposed to other black polishes I've used that are a bit light. Don't mind the messy job, I like to clean them up AFTER I'm done doing everything.

Once the polish dried completely, I place 2 pieces of tape to form a "V" shape like the picture above. I painted over the tape with a coral nail polish by Sally Hansen called "Coral reef" &  once that dried, i slowly removed the tape & finished the look off with some gold accents using my trusty LA Colors nail art polish in "Gold Glitter."
Here is the finished product, on my ring finger I did a base of gold polish and did the "V" shape in coral to make an added accent nail.
Hope you guys enjoyed my nails of the day!

Gold Drip Tips

Since summer is right around the corner I've been really into light colors and a lot of white. So I like to try different combinations with white nail polish.
I started with a basic white nail polish and then added some gold glitter polish with a nail art brush to create a paint drip-like effect. The gold polish I used was "gold glitter" by LA Colors.
I'm still trying to work on the paint drip effect to make it look a bit more realistic. Hopefully next time I try it, it'll look a little more drippy.

Turquoise & Glitter for the Beach

I decided I wanted something simple but fun, since I was planning on going to the beach over this particular weekend. I wasn't really in the mood to do a lengthy nail art project so I just stuck to my current favorite polish color and added a lil glitter to the accent nail.
Here's the result.......
I used my favorite nail polish by China Glaze "Aquadelic" & for the accent nail I used Milani's Jewel FX in "Gold," it's a really chunky gold glitter polish, which I wont lie to you......is really really hard to take off. I was happy about the color combo & how fun & summery it ended up looking, specially since I didn't even try too hard to make it work. :) And also because it matched my bathing suit perfectly!
