Let's continue with my turquoise obsession...

Ok, so as I stated in my previous post I AM currently obsessed with turquoise nail polish. Right now I'm all over China glaze's "Aquadelic," it's just so pretty and I am trying all these different color combinations I'm loving!!
Here is another color combo I created with that nail polish.

I really like the combination of white, turquoise & silver. For the white, I used Sinful Colors nail polish in "Snow me White" and for the silver I used Kiss Nail art in the color "Silver glitter" which has a really thin brush that you can maneuver pretty easily. You could probably find them at your local drugstore, I got mine at Walgreens when they were having a sale on them. On the middle finger I used this Silver Nail Art Decorating kit by Essence, which I got at Ulta. I used the one that looks like confetti, with a dotting tool, clear nail polish and a lot of patience I picked the confetti up one by one and placed them in a somewhat straight vertical line down the center of my finger after I applied a bit of clear nail polish so that it would have something to adhere to. It was a little time consuming but I was really happy with the outcome. Plus I really enjoy spending time doing my nails, so the time it takes to do them doesn't bother me.

Here's a closer look at them. For the triangle shapes I use tape to form the shape and then fill in with the desired nail polish color, I wait about 10 minutes to make sure its dry before I pull the tape off and usually it comes out good. I then go back over the sides of the triangles with a thin nail art brush and the other color to create a nice contrast between the base color and the triangle shape color.

My current turquoise obsession

And so it begins.....my current obsession with turquoise nail polish. I recently bought China Glaze's "Aquadelic" nail polish, and I must say......it really got my turquoise obsession going. It's just such a pretty color. The things I can do with that polish........I mean......the color combinations are endless! Needless to say...I'm excited about it and all the different looks I can try with it.
And so I present you with my first color combo with this nail polish.

I used China Glaze in "Aquadelic" on the thumb and pinky, a neon pink by Sinful Colors called "24/7" on my middle finger and half of my ring finger, and lastly Sinful Colors in "Snow me White" on my index finger and the other half of my ring finger. Also on my ring finger is a peacock leaf nail sticker that I got as a sample in a magazine. That was initially my inspiration for this color combo, but I wanted to incorporate the turquoise color in there too.....so I did. Some would say that it doesn't really go with the rest of the color combination.....and you know what I say to those?......I do what I want! LOL To each their own......I was pleased with the outcome. The next day I decided to take it one step further and do more to them though.

So I just got some scotch tape and made a triangle shape, painted the insides...and voila! That was the end result above. My favorite was the thumb of course. Well, this definitely won't be the last you'll see of the "aquadelic" polish.....I have created many more looks with it, which I will post up soon.

All Studded Up

I've been really excited to try a new nail look with gold studs. I didn't want to over do it with the studs so this is what I came up with.

I wanted something not too shocking & not too dark either, so this is what I ended up with. Black nail polish with a single, small, gold stud on each finger.

I used Wet n Wild's black crème nail polish ($1.99) & I got this gold nail art kit by Essence at ulta.com it was pretty cheap (around $3.99) and it comes with a whole bunch of gold options to work with.

I've developed a new obsession.....with nail art. I can't stop thinking about it! I just have so many ideas in my head and I want to do them all on my nails, but there's so many i can't decide on one design.
